The Process
The most common pathway is citizenship by conferral, available to permanent residents. The general steps include:
Check your eligibility to ensure you meet all criteria.
Prepare and lodge your application online through the Department of Home Affairs.
Attend an interview or sit for the citizenship test (if required).
Wait for a decision from the Department.
Attend your citizenship ceremony and make the Australian Citizenship Pledge.
Â
Eligibility Requirements
To apply for Australian citizenship by conferral, you generally need to:
Be a permanent resident at the time of application.
Have lived in Australia lawfully for 4 years, including:
At least 12 months as a permanent resident, and
No more than 12 months outside Australia during that period.
Be of good character.
Have a basic knowledge of English.
Understand Australian values, history, and responsibilities (assessed in the citizenship test)

Our agents prepare, review, and lodge your application with the relevant authority, ensuring it meets all assessment requirements.
